The learning objectives for the course were:

• To provide updates and information on changes and developments affecting diabetes treatment and care
• To raise awareness of the current "Treatment and Care" Programme of work being delivered in primary and secondary care; and
• To allow delegates the opportunity to talk to a number of service providers via market stalls stands at the event
