Aims of the PLI:

Increased confidence in recognising the presentation of change and deterioration in complex patients
Improved understanding of signs and symptoms in the disease course and escalating concern when outside normal parameters
Updated knowledge on interpreting blood results
Recognising vulnerable patients who are living with multiple morbidity

Sepsis Workshop: Focussed around the ideal pathway and resources, spotting signs of deterioration and opportunities to intervene in general practice - led by Joanne Campbell - Lead Sepsis Nurse at STH and Anna Young, Practice Nurse (Page Hall Medical Centre)
Interpreting Blood Results into Medication Changes: Using case studies DMARDS, liver. Looking at safety, READ codes, CAS alerts, audits - led by Eva Gabzdyl and Jill Rigby
Long Term Conditions: Time management within consultations, how to have meaningful and empowered conversations focussed around person centred care, agenda setting - led by PCDN Team
